Our Daily Antics

I can usually tell first thing in the morning, when Jana has ‘grown’. No, I’m not kidding, I can really tell! She just suddenly seems all mature-ish and acts differently. Today was one of those days. She woke up and kept repeating the word ‘no’. “No, no, no, no no”. Probably because I say it to her endlessly throughout the day. I guess you could say she was telling me everything she could remember from the past week or so.

Anyway, I’ve been singing this nursery rhyme to her since as long as I can remember, ‘miss polly had a dolly’. That one. She watches me intently because I make a point of doing the actions while holding this dolly she got from my cousins. Today all I did was pick up the dolly and she already had her hands into a fist trying to knock on the nearest item of wood she could find! (Knock on the door with a rat-a-tat-tat).

Like sponges I tell ya.
