I have been thinking about compiling a list of a few bloggers that have influenced me and the way I run my house, playtime with the kids, and even my outlook on life!
So without further ado, here it is. These are the inspiring bloggers that I’m really into at the moment, and if you don’t already know them, check them out:
- Lizzie Assa over at the Workspace for children has been a longtime inspiration in helping me understand the value of open ended play and why our children need it so much! Especially in this day and age of too much screen time. (Although I have recently changed my rules around screen time at home.) She’s got lots of play ideas, how to set up open art invitations for kids and even mess free playtime for your sanity! Simply the best.
- Dr Gemma Elizabeth of Our Muslim Homeschool. My girls are not homeschooled but I’ve always found the concept very intriguing and always wondered if I had the patience for it! Gemma is academic based in her homeschool and I love the book recommendations she has. I’ve also recently started listening to her podcasts. Definitely one to follow!
- Mothercould – this blog is full of the best hacks, baby safe recipes for play, fun food recipes for the kiddos, anything kid related really, she probably has it! I started following Myriams insta page a while ago and have already used so many of her play ideas because they are simple and you most probably have the ingredients for them at home. Couldn’t be more perfect!
- Amy at Playful Little Learners. This is another insta page that is my go to for a quick fun play idea for the girls. I am quite obsessed with her toy rotation time lapse videos, I’ll be honest! Her playroom organisation is simply the best. What’s even better though is how all her kids play with everything simply because of the way she presents the invitation to them.
